3D Scanning

What is it?

Enables to 3D scan the aircraft interior or whole external fuselage in digital format to replicate aircraft parts faster and more efficiently.

Who is it for?

The tool used in Magnetic MRO to 3D scan the aircraft parts and fuselage is FreeScan X7, an ultra-portable handheld 3D laser scanner with a flexible and convenient scanning mode, providing high accuracy and stability, and covering all the depth and thickness measurements. The device is applicable to a wide range of operating environments and a variety of measured objects. It can dramatically improve time and cost efficiency by reducing the manpower needed for a project.

The scanner was first used in January 2019 on a Boeing 767 aircraft as part of the latest partnership between Magnetic MRO’s subsidiary brand MAC Aero Interiors and travel company TUI.
