Specialised Training

During this training, students will develop basic practical skills and gain an understanding of fabricating and repairing sheet metal structures. Upon completion of the training, students will be capable of assisting experienced structures technicians in both aircraft line and base maintenance environments.

Entry level technicians, engineers, inspectors involved in maintenance and repair of aircraft metal constructions

Basic English and general technical understanding is desired (training is delivered in the English language).

• Fastening processes (permanent and temporary fasteners)
• Skin patch repair
• Frame repair
• Stringer repair
• Leading edge skin flush repair
• Part replacement
• Annealing rivets
• Protective coatings classification and applications
• Paint removal
• Sealant classification and applications

Practical assessment

Minimum participation: 90%

Practical assessment should be successfully passed
