Last week Magnetic Tallinn had some exciting guest in our Base Maintenance hangar.
An Estonian TV Show “Õhtu” came to visit to see what an Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice workday is like.
Together, we challenged them with several interesting tasks that are usually performed by our skilled mechanics. First one up was to perform a repair on one of the aircraft nose structures – carefully observed and supervised by our Sheet Metal Specialist Tanel Valgma. Tanel also gave the team a tour around the aircraft and lead them to our Apprentice Graduate and now one of our youngest Aircraft Mechanics Kevin Parras, who shared his true expert knowledge. Next one up was to perform a visual inspection of the aircraft fuselage from above – Safety harness and inspection tutorial by our Facility and Tooling Manager, Maksim Kolesnik. Third and something to pay attention to while flying – Life vest demo. The demo was performed by our always flying Senior Airworthiness Engineer Talvar Tari.
